Purpose

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

I Timothy 4:12

The purpose of the Youth Ministry is to develop the whole person – spiritually, mentally, and physically – through Christ centered youth programs, evangelistic and leadership training, social interaction and community involvement. The Youth Ministry actively works with the church leadership, membership, youth, and parents to grow mature, young Christian leaders – who will ultimately be prepared to step into the role of Christian leadership in the church and community.

Annual Activities

Mother/Daughter Lock-in

The Mother/Daughter Lock-in is a spirit-filled weekend where mothers and daughters build relationships, learn together, and do fun activities. Attendees gain great value and lasting memories that help along life’s way.

Senior Saints Breakfast

The expressions on the faces of our Senior Saints tell the story of the joy this event brings. Senior Saints are honored, entertained, and fed well at the annual Senior Saints Breakfast, hosted by the younger generations. Giveaways bring even more smiles to the faces of our hard-fighting soldiers who have blazed trails and who continue to set great examples of faith and endurance.

State Youth Conference

Our youth gain Spiritual knowledge, Christian friendships and positive, lasting impressions when they attend the Texas State Youth conference. Historically, they have won Bible Bowl trophies, too!!! For more information on this powerful conference, go to http://www.coctsyc.com/

Spring Craft Night

Learning God’s word through constructing fabulous crafts! That’s what Spring Craft Night is all about. Our children have a great time constructing projects that help them to learn and remember Bible concepts.

Young People as Threads Through our Tapestry

The youth of Forest Hill are constantly encouraged to participate in every aspect of our being. Consequently, young people help welcome our visitors, assist with technology and public relations, serve guests during food events, conduct parts of worship, and more.  So in addition to specific programs set up for them, young people at our congregation play active roles in all we do.
